Getting to know me…………I live and breathe all things design and have an innate talent for spatial orientation. I never stop thinking about decorating and furniture placement. Since an early age, when I visited a home or office that had a poor flow to the space or lacked appeal, I would rearrange everything in my head and imagine bringing in different décor. When I’m not decorating, I am enjoying nature hikes, swimming, Netflix binge watching or hanging out with my wonderful family. Animals are a big part of my life so you will often see my 10-pound Chihuahua, Pojken, by my side.
I have lived in Austin for 36 years. I have two amazing children. My son is an Electrical Engineer in Austin and my daughter is attending Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. I obtained my degree in Court Reporting and spent six years in the field. After leaving the court reporting field, I ventured into the high technology world and assisted CEOs with building office infrastructures for local start-up companies. One day my best friend approached me and told me I really should be utilizing my God-gifted talent of decorating. She mentioned opening a home staging business and the rest is history. I knew how to build a business from the ground up and definitely knew how to decorate so, why not? My entire life I have been intrigued by the arrangement of home furnishings and obsessed with color and design to create a cohesive space.
I am one of the first 3 Accredited Staging Professionals in Austin. I have staged upwards of 3,000 homes over the past 16 years. There is no greater reward than helping my clients sell one of their largest assets in a short period of time. I look forward to using my skills and talent to sell your property.
Megan has three beautiful girls and has been with her amazing husband, Chris, for 24 years. She loves design, babies, dogs, laughing, wine, a good margarita, house projects, and, above all, home staging.
Megan has always had a deep passion for design. She grew up in Southern California, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when she was 24 and ten years later, moved to Austin, Texas. While in Utah, Megan did interior design work on her and her husband’s investment properties and personal homes while running a small furniture refurbishing business, all while raising her three girls. She constantly looked at homes for sale and frequently found herself walking through random model homes. This is when Megan decided to get her Real Estate license. Being a realtor was exciting and allowed her to work in an environment she was passionate about but still found herself missing something. After talking with a friend, Megan realized that she could be the one staging those model homes she obsessed over so she researched working for a home staging company. She finally found that missing piece, a local Austin home staging company that was hiring.
Megan states that she was lucky enough to start a new career with a very fabulous woman and company, Texas Staged Homes. Her and her husband fell in love with Austin and home staging. Megan gives 105% of her beautiful design talent and pursues it with every ounce of her being. She says that it is a perfect day when she can work alongside designers and stagers that share that same Interest, love and passion.
